As an educator, you will often have the chance to share your perspective on educational issues. As a member of URITK, you have access to many other very smart people with whom you can share and discuss ideas. You can practice sharing your opinions by visiting the "two cents" pages below, watching the videos or reading the articles, and joining in the pages' discussions.
Each "Two Cents" page gives you a chance to process some new information and share your reactions. All the URITK pages that are tagged "two cents" are listed below. Each Two Cents page has a discussion forum to share your reactions. No matter what class you are currently taking, feel free to share your opinions!
We all learn by connecting new ideas, examples, and information to what we already know. If you find something or are thinking about something that you'd like others to weigh in on, you can give us a chance to react by creating a "two cents" page. These pages should:
Introduce what you are thinking about.
Provide something to process and react to, e.g. a video clip, a brief reading, etc. If you are looking for thought-stimulating presentations try TED.com. Here is a complete index of the TED videos.
Optionally, add some discussion prompts in the page's discussion area.
Important: Before you save your page for the last time, assign it the tag: "two cents" (This will add it to the list above.)
